Dr. Perino is a Licensed Psychologist who received his doctorate in School and Community psychology from Hofstra University. He has extensive experience both treating and assessing children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings including schools, clinics, and research centers. While trained and grounded in Cognitive-Behavior therapy, Dr. Perino utilizes an eclectic approach of evidence based treatments in order to find the path that works best for each person. Special areas of interest comprise: Helping people cope with traumatic events, including abuse and neglect; Child and family concerns such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, abuse, neglect, school functioning, as well as managing relationship issues.
