North Shore Psychological Services offers a range of assessment instruments for diagnosing autism spectrum disorder.  These diagnoses are often necessary throughout the lifespan when applying for early intervention, OPWDD, assistance in the schools, services at college and adulthood.

 

We use the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) as our core evaluation as it is the current gold standard and widely accepted by all agencies. Additionally, we likely assess adaptive functioning and/or cognitive functioning depending on your needs.  These evaluations will result in reports which will include detailed results, as well as recommendations and diagnostic impressions. 

 

There is currently NO waiting list and turnaround time from evaluation to report and follow-up session is 1-2 weeks.
