Dr. Skolnik is a NYS Licensed Psychologist who received his doctorate in School Psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.  He has extensive experience both assessing and treating children, adolescents, and young adults in school-based and private settings. While trained and grounded in Cognitive-Behavior therapy, Dr. Skolnik incorporates a variety of evidence-based treatments in that are individualized the meet the needs and goals of each person he works with. His approach ranges from working directly with the client to build and apply self-awareness and skills to overcome their presenting issues, to working with parents to engage in their children’s treatment more actively.  Special areas of interest comprise: Child and family concerns such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, Autism Spectrum disorders, behavioral disorders, trauma, parenting issues, and school functioning.
